Approach & Experience

I am a licensed clinical social worker and registered yoga teacher practicing in Knoxville, TN. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado and Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee with a graduate certificate in the Treatment of Trauma. I have worked as a mental health therapist with various populations including children, adolescents, adults, and families.

I work with clients ages 14+ experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life adjustments. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where individuals can explore their emotions, gain insight into their struggles, and develop practical strategies for healing and growth. I am committed to helping clients build resilience, improve emotional regulation, and foster self-compassion as they navigate their unique journeys toward healing and well-being.

My primary approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based, person-centered theories. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients improve psychological flexibility and increase self compassion. Relational Therapy is also integrated into counseling sessions to explore how past and present relationships affect emotional wellbeing, while Solution Focused techniques to help clients move toward meaningful change.

Additionally, I specialize in trauma-informed approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Mindfulness Based techniques to support healing, with a focus on integrating body and mind.

I believe that healing is a journey—whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for support in creating a more fulfilling life, I’m here to walk alongside you with curiosity and compassion and effective tools for growth.

Outside the Therapy Office

When I’m not in session, I’m typically a homebody and enjoy baking and crocheting while snuggling with my 3 dogs. I also enjoy teaching and practicing yoga locally in Knoxville. A fun fact about me is that I grew up in Colorado, hence the name, Elevated Counseling.
